OUR PRIVACY POLICY

We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our members and website visitors. This policy sets out how we will treat your personal information.

Our website uses cookies. We may ask you to consent to our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy when you first visit our website. By using our website and agreeing to this policy, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal information:

In some cases where we ask for your Personal Information, we do so in order for us to fulfil your request (e.g. needing your email address to send you a newsletter to which you have signed up). If you do not provide that Personal Information, we will not be able to process your request or order.

COOKIES

A cookie is a file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent by a web server to a web browser and stored by the browser. The identifier is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser.

We use session cookies on the website. Session cookies will be deleted from your computer when you close your browser. We will use the session cookies to: keep track of you whilst you navigate the website; keep track of items in your shopping basket; prevent fraud and increase website security; and other uses.

We use Google Analytics to analyse the use of this website. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies, which are stored on users' computers. The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of the website. Google will store this information. Google's privacy policy is available at: http://www.google.com/privacypolicy.html . Our advertisers/payment services providers may also send you cookies.

Most browsers allow you to reject all cookies, whilst some browsers allow you to reject just third party cookies. For example, in Internet Explorer you can refuse all cookies by clicking “Tools”, “Internet Options”, “Privacy”, and selecting “Block all cookies” using the sliding selector. Blocking all cookies will, however, have a negative impact upon the usability of many websites, including this one.

We use your Personal Information as follows:

Where you submit personal information for publication on our website, we will publish and otherwise use that information in accordance with the licence you grant to us.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may disclose information about you to any of our employees, officers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors (including our IT hosting providers and payment service providers) insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes as set out in this privacy policy. In addition, we may disclose your personal information:

Except as provided in this privacy policy, we will not provide your information to third parties.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Information that we collect may be stored and processed in and transferred between any of the countries in which we operate in order to enable us to use the information in accordance with this privacy policy.

Information which you provide may be transferred to countries which do not have data protection laws equivalent to those in force in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. In addition, personal information that you submit for publication on the website may be published on the internet and may be available, via the internet, around the world. We cannot prevent the use or misuse of such information by others.

SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.

We will store all the personal information you provide on our secure Microsoft Azure cloud hosted servers, which have password and firewall protection. All electronic transactions you make to, or receive from, us will be encrypted using SSL technology. Of course, data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.

You are responsible for keeping your password and user details confidential. We will not ask you for your password (except when you log in to the website).

POLICY AMENDMENTS

We may update this privacy policy from time-to-time by posting a new version on our website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can also update your Personal Information at any time. If you wish to do either, contact us at contact@vetsklinic.co.uk.

We will only keep records of your Personal Information for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which we have collected it, and to comply with any statutory or regulatory obligations in relation to retention of records. We respect requests to stop processing your Personal Information for marketing purposes. This includes keeping a record of your request indefinitely so that we can respect your request in future.

You have the right to request access to and rectification or erasure of Personal Information, the right to restrict processing of your Personal Information, and the right to object to processing of your Personal Information. You have the right to object to your Personal Information being processed on the grounds of our legitimate interests. You have the right to object to us sending you direct marketing and profiling you for the purposes of direct marketing.

You have the right to lodge a complaint regarding our processing of your Personal Information with a data protection supervisory authority in a country where you live, work, or where you believe a breach may have occurred.
